Knitted fabric physical analysis

First, the basic formula

GM/m2=G(gm)÷S(m2)

WIDTH=CUTS÷WPI

OZ/YD=WIDTH×GM/m2×0.00082

MAX REPTAT OF FEED=FEEDERS÷CPI

GM/m2=(CPI×WPI×50C)÷S/1×0.018367

S/1=840yds÷1lb=0.00059×L(mm)÷G(gm)

〖Note〗 G - Weight S - Area L - Length GM / m2 - Square meter weight of fabric CPI - Number of stitches of fabric in 1 inch WPI - lap of fabric within 1 inch Number 50C - total length of 50 coils (in mm) S / 1 - yarn count (Inch) OZ / YD - ounces of weight per yard of fabric CUTS - total needle count of the machine FEEDERS - total machine Number of roads (number of looping systems)

Second, 〖theoretical derivation〗

1. Yarn count is used to describe the density (diameter or fineness) of the yarn. It is the ratio of weight to length. The yarn support system we usually use is in English (S/1), metric (Nm) and denier ( D), the relationship is as follows: S / 1 = 0.591 NmS / 1 = 5319D such as: 150D ≈ 35.46S / 148Nm ≈ 28.4S / 1

In general, British for cotton yarn (such as COTTON, COTTON / WOOL, COTTON / POLY, COTTON / LINE); public support for wool yarn (such as 100% WOOL, ACRYLIC / WOOL, ACRYIC); For filaments (such as FILAMENTPOLY, FILAMENT NYLON, CYARL, SILK, LUREX).

According to the definition of the British branch, S/1=840YD÷LB, we can get the formula S/1=0.00059×L(mm)÷G(gm) to measure the yarn count of the customer.

For example, we measured the total weight of 12 cotton yarns with a length of 172MM of 0.062gm, then we can calculate the yarn count as: 12×172×0.00059÷0.062=19.6S/1-20S/1

2, GM / m2 is the total weight of one square meter of fabric, is also the sum of the weight of each coil woven into the fabric, so if we know the number of coils in a square meter of fabric and the weight of each coil, then The square gram weight of the fabric can be calculated, ie the total number of coils x the weight of the unit coil. Since we know the CPI and WPI of the fabric, we can calculate the total number of coils in square meters, namely: CPI × WPI × 39.37 × 39.37. Similarly, according to the definition of the yarn count and the length of the unit coil, or to calculate the weight of each coil, that is: the length of the thread ÷ yarn count = (50C ÷ 50000) × (453.6 ÷ S / 1 ÷ 840 ÷ 0.9114)

So the square meter weight is:

CPI×WPI×39.37×39.37×50C÷50000×453.6÷S/1÷840÷0.9114×1.018367 For example: 40S/1×2 Cotton Piece Dye Solid Jersey 20G×30”9.75OZ/56-58”205GM/m2, CPI=45, WPI=31, 50C=160MM. According to the above formula, the basis weight is: 45 × 31 × 160 ÷ 40 × 2 × 0.018367 = 204.975 (gm / m2). In the standard, since the parameters used in the formula are artificially determined, there is a corresponding deviation between the calculated weight and the standard weight, which is generally within 5%.

3. The knitted fabric is formed by a longitudinal row of each needle, so the total number of needles of the machine divided by the fabric WPI is the width of the fabric.

4. Each mold can be woven on the machine to form a course, so the modulus of the machine is divided by the maximum FEED REPEAT of CPI.

Third, the formula application example

1. Impact on sample analysis:

1) If the customer has enough samples (1 frame and at least 1 yard), then we can directly weigh the weight and weight of the code, calculate the width of the door, calculate the CPI, WPI, measure the yarn count, and By counting the total number of stitches, it is known that the fabric GAUGE is produced. Other relevant parameters such as shrinkage of the fabric, PILLING, WET CROCKING, etc. can also be tested.

2) If the customer does not have a single door, but can engrave a big circle or a small circle, then we can weigh the big or small circle, and measure the CPI and WPI, according to the formula: WIDTH=CUTS÷WPI The width of the produced door; according to the formula: OZ / YD = WIDTH × GM / m2 × 0.00082, calculate the corresponding code weight. However, it is not known that it originally produced the fabric model GAUGE.
